Rubens Sabine Variations

Inspired by a drawing made in the National Gallery after Rubens’ The Rape of the Sabine Women, Victor explored what it might mean to reinterpret an Old Master in the digital age.
Working in Corel Painter on a Wacom Cintiq, he created around 200 evolving variations over several months. A selection of these images, together with a short film tracing their transformation, is presented here.
