Blistered Feet, Blissful Mind is an illustrated account of life as a Buddhist monk in modern England, lived according to a tradition stretching back more than 2,500 years.

The book follows two monks who walk across the countryside carrying only their robes and alms bowls, refusing to handle money and relying entirely on the kindness of strangers. Along the way they encounter generosity, indifference, humour and occasional hostility, offering a rare insight into a way of life that challenges many modern assumptions.

Drawing on years of direct experience, the stories are woven into the journey of a young monk training under his teacher. Illustrated with colour drawings and inspired by real events, the book explores faith, simplicity, human kindness and the search for wisdom in the contemporary world.
